As night was falling and the day faded
He reminisced on her smile
The morning would come soon but only for her
As he closed his eyes under the moon
His heart was so troubled that he couldn’t be there
Holding her closely and smelling her hair
But one day soon he will have his chance
When they can be together forevermore
The wind made no sounds
And the stars did shine brightly
But her sun was far up in the sky
She gazed out the window trying to find him
But the darkness of his night hid him from her sight
The hours passed and his morning was near
However, her night soon would fall
His heart yearned for the beautiful sight
Of her sleeping under his moon
Then one day soon they will have their chance
To be together always
No sun or stars, moon or night
Will ever separate them again
For the time has come at last
The sun shall rise upon both of their faces.
